1. If you were born on or after Jan. 1, 1949 you MUST have a hunter education card to buy a hunting license in Colorado. CPW does honor hunter education cards from other states and provinces. Effective April 6, 2016 Colorado Parks and Wildlife now offers apprentice licenses and hunter education test-out options.
